The Robinson Center for Young Scholars at the University of Washington is pleased to announce that applications for our two early entrance programs are now open.

Transition School (TS) is a one-year college preparatory program offered on the UW campus in Seattle. Students apply during their 8th grade year and participate in TS in lieu of 9th grade. This is not a dual enrollment program; students leave the K-12 school system to enter Transition School. TS students engage in advanced and accelerated curricula and scholarly skills to prepare to successfully enter the University as fully matriculated undergraduates via the Early Entrance Program (EEP) in what would otherwise be 10th grade. The TS application is open now, and will close February 15th at 5:00pm PST.

The UW Academy is an early university admission opportunity for 10th grade students in Washington State. Every year, a small cohort of up to thirty-five academically advanced and highly motivated students are admitted to the UW Academy.  Students apply to the program during their 10th grade year, and if accepted, withdraw from high school at the end of 10th grade to enroll as freshmen at the University of Washington. The application for this program is open now and will close on March 6th at 5:00pm PST. Please check out our UW Academy webpage  for application support including our application guide, drop in application support, and upcoming events.
