Molly Porter

Molly Porter is a Ph.D. student in English and instructor of First Year Composition at the University of Washington. She is particularly interested in exploring the environment and the natural world, both inside and out of the classroom.  Before her time at UW, Molly received an MA in English at Lehigh University. Prior to that, she relished teaching 4-9 grade literature, history, and math courses in the beautiful valley of Jackson, Wyoming. She takes an interdisciplinary and immersive approach to teaching, and brings her love of the outdoors into her classes. In her free time, Molly enjoys hiking, skiing, playing tennis, and singing.
