Hello! I’m Tommy Nguyen, a Physics Ph.D. student at the University of Washington working under professor Kai-mei Fu. I am currently working on using doped Mn:CdSe quantum dots for quantum sensing and quantum computation applications. In the lab, this translates to many optics and lasers being shined about everywhere while I cool down to near absolute zero. I tend to use many techniques from electrical engineering, condensed matter, and quantum optics, so if you are interested in any of these things, I would love to chat! In my free time, I enjoy snowboarding, tennis, watching anime, and playing video games with friends.
