Graduating Class: TS 2011, UW 2016

Major: Earth and Space Sciences; Anthropology

Discipline: Natural Sciences

Current Location: Ann Arbor, Michigan

Region: Midwest & Southern US

Current Job/Career:

I'm currently a graduate student at the University of Michigan. I use stable isotope geochemistry to study the Earth's climate history. My particular focus is on the environmental history of eastern Africa during the emergence of Homo sapiens. I'm also interested in developing new ways to communicate climate research to wider audiences.

Graduate School:

University of Michigan

Other Interests:

Board games, RPGs (table top and live action), camping, traveling, sword fighting

If you could give yourself a superpower, what would it be?

Time travel. Studying Earth history would be so much easier if we could just go back and take notes!

RC students and community members can contact me for:

  • Pep-talks to get through post-undergrad, gap year malaise
  • Questions about UMich, or graduate school in general
  • Questions about what I do in Earth Science (for prospective majors)
  • Getting coffee and talking in person if you're in town
