Tuition & Fees

  • Tuition for 2026 is $1450, which includes a non-refundable $50 registration fee.
  • The cost for Before Care is $75 for the three-week session.
  • The cost for After Care is $200 for the three-week session.

Tuition and Fee Waivers

Tuition and fee waivers may be awarded to families who are eligible for the federal free or reduced school lunch program. We will give financial aid to all eligible families, on a first-come first-served basis, until our financial aid funds for Summer Challenge are exhausted.

The Seattle Public Schools website lists the federal income eligibility guidelines for free and reduced lunch here.

To demonstrate eligibility for financial aid, you must submit ONE of the following:

  • Documentation of eligibility for the free/reduced lunch program for the 2024-25 school year;
  • Copy of the first page of your 2024 or 2025 1040-tax form showing your income;
  • Evidence of current participation in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF);
  • Evidence of receipt of current Basic Food/SNAP benefits;
  • Participation in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR);
  • Documentation that the student is currently in the foster care system.

NOTE: We are not able to provide tuition assistance for students residing outside of Washington State.

Documents must be submitted through the ‘Make a Payment’ page of your Robinson Center account. Providing this information will not disadvantage you. Please note that when you apply for financial aid, you will be prompted to complete the release forms required for our program before you can upload your documentation.

Information supplied to the Robinson Center is intended for internal use only. It is understood that this information will be used only in computing the amount of financial assistance for which the student may qualify, and that it will not be released to any other party.   • All withdrawals must be communicated in writing via email at rcsummer@uw.edu. 

Withdrawals

  • Registration fees are not refunded under any circumstances.
  • Full Refund Deadline: Withdrawals received by April 11, 2025, are eligible for a full refund. 
  • Partial Refund Deadline: Withdrawals received between April 12 and May 9, 2025, are eligible for a 50% refund of course fee. 
  • No Refunds: No refunds will be issued for withdrawals submitted after May 9, 2025. 
  • Exceptions for Extenuating Circumstances: Requests received after May 9 will be considered on a case-by-case basis in the event of documented extenuating circumstances and are subject to the discretion of the Program Director. Registration fees are not refunded.

Extended Care 

  • The deadline to withdraw from Before- and/or After Care and receive a full refund is July 1, 2025.
  • No refunds will be issued for Extended Care cancellations after July 1, 2025. 
  • Exceptions for Extenuating Circumstances: Requests received after July 1, 2025, may be considered on a case-by-case basis in the event of documented extenuating circumstances and are subject to the discretion of the Program Director.

Program Cancellations 

  • If the Robinson Center cancels a course, a full refund will be issued, including the registration fee.
