Hey, I’m Andre — the English R/G! I’m majoring in philosophy and CS and minoring in Russian language and math with expected graduation in 2025. My hobbies include swimming, playing the piano, and jamming out to hard metal and Russian hip-hop. The academic study of English is so fascinating and is integral to developing a nuanced view of textual and social structures, and I’m excited to assist that discovery in the TS classroom! Some fun facts: a) I went through TS in the only fully online year (so far) during COVID. b) I was born in West Virginia. c) I’m double jointed in both thumbs — one’s natural, and the other is the painfully unnatural result of a swimming accident. My favorite novels are Infinite Jest (Wallace) and Crime and Punishment (Dostoevsky); my favorite philosophical texts are Sex and the Failed Absolute (Zizek) and Queer Phenomenology (Ahmed).
