Burton Barrager (he/him) is one half of the teaching team for the Summer Challenge course Physics of Roller Coasters and Other Amusement Park Rides. He has co-taught the course with friend and colleague, Jeff Armentrout, since 2009. Burton is a two-time UW alum, earning a Bachelor of Science in Oceanography (1994) and a Masters In Teaching (2001). During the regular school year, he currently teaches 7th grade environmental science and 8th grade Earth and space science at Eastside Preparatory School in Kirkland, WA. Burton loves to collaborate with colleagues, work with adolescents, and to teach all types of science. When he isn’t teaching, Burton loves to play outdoors with his family, as well as being a full-fledged geek, keeping up on all manner of sci-fi & fantasy shows, books, and comics. He is looking forward to another great Summer Challenge!
