Jamie Chase

Jamie Chase is a Ph.D. student in Education at the University of Washington, focusing her research on language development, disability studies, and play-based learning. Before beginning doctoral work, she taught in elementary classrooms and worked as a paraeducator in both self-contained and inclusive settings, experiences that deepened her commitment to supporting diverse learners.

She has extensive experience teaching both gifted and neurodivergent students, creating learning environments that celebrate students’ strengths while making space for curiosity, creativity, and individuality. Jamie believes that every learner deserves opportunities to grow in ways that feel authentic and meaningful.
