Junaid Hasan (he/him) is a PhD candidate in Mathematics at the University of Washington. He earned his Bachelor of Science from the Indian Institute of Science and focuses his academic research on tropical geometry and interpretable AI. Returning to the Robinson Center after previously teaching in the Summer Stretch program, Junaid is passionate about making rigorous mathematics both accessible and engaging for young scholars. He designs his classes around collaborative problem-solving, aiming to build students’ confidence in their ability to construct formal mathematical arguments. Outside of his academic work, Junaid enjoys building computer hardware, configuring self-hosted servers, and watching soccer.
