Ellen Steer has been teaching mathematics for over 20 years, bringing experience from secondary and postsecondary classrooms in New York, Washington, and New Mexico. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. in Natural Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, providing her with a foundation in both pure mathematics and interdisciplinary scientific thinking.
Outside the classroom, Ellen enjoys baking and getting lost in a good book. She also spends time searching for the perfect NY-style pizza in the Pacific Northwest and raising puppies for Canine Companions, an organization that places fully trained service and facility dogs with people of varying abilities.
