What is Summer Challenge?
Summer Challenge is an academically advanced summer program for students who will have completed the 5th or 6th grade.
Summer Challenge provides highly motivated students with an intensive, hands-on, fun, and educational experience in areas outside of the traditional school curriculum.
The 2026 Challenge program will run from July 6th to July 24th, 2026.
The program runs for three weeks, five days a week from 9:00 AM to 2:20 PM. Classes are held in person at the University of Washington Seattle campus. Classes are small and instructors are all specialists in their field.
There are no tests, students are not graded, and there is little homework; it’s all about delving deeply into a subject of interest!
Registration for Summer Challenge 2026 will open February 1st, 2026 at 4pm
