Kathryn Grubbs (she/her)

Kathryn Grubbs served as the Academic Adviser from 2014-2020 and then the Director of the EEP/UW Academy from 2020-2024. She helped to plan the RC in Rome Study Abroad and worked to update the mentor program, RC seminar, and co-created the RC experiential learning course and award. Connect with Kathryn on Linkedin.

Elliott Lovett (they/them)

Elliott was the first RC Academic Coach. They had the joy of working with TS, EEP, and Academy students on individual coaching, workshops, advising, and writing feedback. They also co-taught several classes, including the first-year seminar, TS tutorial, BeReal, and Experiential Learning. Elliott received their PhD in English Language and Rhetoric from UW in 2022 while working at the RC. They currently teach writing at multiple access-oriented colleges in the Seattle area. Nancy Hertzog (she/her)
Director, Robinson Center for Young Scholars

Nancy served as Director of the Center, where she helped establish innovative online learning tools for teacher education. She has received multiple curriculum awards from the Curriculum Division of the National Association for Gifted Children. Nancy is a professor in the College of Education, and her research focuses on equity and access to advanced learning opportunities in schools, as well as pedagogical strategies that support teachers in effectively challenging all students. Maren Halvorsen (she/her)

Maren Halvorsen served in many capacities at the Robinson Center between and was instrumental in creating the Saturday Program. She retired in 2018 and is currently serving on the School Board in Sequim, Washington. She recently published a novel via Cuidono Press. Connect with Maren.
