The Robinson Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Coordinator to join the RC Enrichment Program team!

The Robinson Center (RC) is seeking a candidate to coordinate and manage administration and support services for the Enrichment programs. Reporting to the Director of Enrichment, the Program Coordinator (NE S SEIU 925 Non Supv) will provide a variety of youth program support and manage complex projects, multitasking and prioritizing responsibilities to serve the needs of current and prospective K12 learners and families in the Enrichment Programs. This role requires excellent customer service skills to address inquiries from constituents, substantive knowledge of the Enrichment program, and a general understanding of the Center’s other programs, policies, and procedures. The position will interpret department, college, and university requirements through the lens of youth programs and their unique needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Operations and Support (80%)

  • Coordinate applications and effectively manage the program’s online application system to handle applicant data and communications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records database and digital filing systems for statistical information and documentation compilation.
  • Counsel prospective student applicants and families on the admissions process, recommend appropriate class placements, and provide financial literacy guidance.
  • Serve as the primary communication coordinator with other university departments and vendors to plan and execute program-related events for staff and constituents.
  • Coordinate event-related goods and services, secure facility rentals, and send relevant communications for successful planning and execution of events for Enrichment staff, students, and families.
  • Manage ordering, inventory, and storage of supplies for the Enrichment programs.
  • Contribute to reviewing program policies and procedures for continuous improvement of program workflow.
  • Provide timely correspondence to constituents inquiring about RC programs.
  • Manage RC communication with current students and families.
  • Maintain RC website and manage assigned email and social media accounts.
  • Create, edit, and send program and event materials related to admission events and student programming.
  • Maintain positive and respectful relationships with all Enrichment constituents and staff to support student supervision as needed during program activities.
  • May direct the work of others.
  • Work with other RC staff on shared goals and projects.

Outreach (20%)

  • Participate in the RC Outreach team to collaborate on executing and implementing strategic priorities.
  • Represent the RC at local conferences, information sessions, K-12 schools, and community events to build collaborative, strategic outreach partnerships and networks.
  • Assist the Enrichment Director in building a strong network of on- and off-campus collaborative partners to develop outreach strategies and networks focusing on equity and diversity to reach underrepresented populations of students and instructors.
  • Create outreach communications for the Enrichment program’s constituents via social media.
  • Execute outreach and recruitment at on-campus and off-campus events.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • High school graduation or equivalent, and two years of experience in an academic setting working with students or student support programs OR equivalent education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong computer skills, including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Suite, database management programs, and WordPress.
  • Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing, with a diverse array of constituents, including University staff, faculty, students, and constituents.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to set and meet goals, make decisions independently, and multitask, prioritize, and work effectively in fast-paced environments with overlapping deadlines.
  • Demonstrated customer service, team collaboration, and problem-resolution skills.
  • Experience interpreting policies and procedures.
  • Ability and desire to be flexible and work in an environment with young and energetic scholars.
  • Ability and desire to contribute positively and professionally to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to flex schedule for occasional evening and/or weekend events as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience working with and supporting K-12 students.
  • Experience working with highly capable, advanced, or accelerated students.
  • Experience with communication and copy editing skills, artistic and graphic designing, and use of multimedia.
  • Experience working with first-generation and racially/ethnically diverse populations as well as an understanding of their cultural differences and their effect on college planning.
  • Experience creating ADA-compliant communication materials and otherwise supporting the access needs of constituents.
  • Experience managing social media accounts.
  • Proficiency in other languages.
  • Demonstrated focus on fostering equity and inclusion, and promoting diversity in the workplace.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Satisfactory outcome from a criminal background verification will be required prior to employment.
  • Successful completion of UW Sexual Misconduct Disclosure.
  • Work schedule of Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, with the possibility to work remotely one day a week during limited periods of time.
Salary: $3,640 - $4,864 per month
