Money is part of our everyday lives, but what money does and how the economy works can be complicated. What is a bank and how do banks work? What is inflation and why does it matter? What are interest rates and how do you decide if you should save or spend your money? Chiara Marazzi, an economist who taught Hands-on Economics during the fall session, is back this winter to explain monetary economics. Using practical examples and fun activities, she teaches students about earning, saving, spending, and the role of finance in their daily lives. To register for From the Piggy Bank to the Central Bank (for 6th-8th graders), or to see all of the courses being taught in winter session, visit our Saturday Enrichment web page. Classes begin January 12th.
