Summer Enrichment Instructor

Afsana Adiba is a Ph.D. student in Economics at the University of Washington, where she specializes in empirical research, data analysis, and program evaluation. She holds a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Alberta and a Bachelor’s degree from Independent University Bangladesh, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Afsana has more than a decade of teaching experience across a wide range of age groups and subjects. She has taught students from Grade 4 through university undergraduates, including Cambridge O‑Level and A‑Level Economics and Mathematics, middle‑school learners in Grades 7–10, and college students at both UW and the University of Alberta. Her university‑level teaching includes Introduction to Microeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomic Theory, Industrial Organization, and graduate‑level Methods of Program Evaluation and Quality Improvement. She has also previously served as a Teaching Aide in the Robinson Center’s Summer Stretch program, where she taught Algebra 2.
Alongside her teaching, she has worked as a Research Associate at BRAC Institute of Governance and Development, contributing to large‑scale empirical studies. She has published peer‑reviewed research in leading journals, including The Journal of Development Studies and Oxford Development Studies, contributing to evidence‑based policy discussions in labor markets and development.
