Chance Sims is an accomplished educator with over twenty years of experience in independent school settings, focusing on school administration, curriculum design, and classroom instruction. He has held various leadership roles that have deepened his commitment to educational models grounded in critical and feminist pedagogy. Driven by a belief in relational learning, Chance’s approach centers on building community and fostering meaningful connections among students, teachers, and the broader school environment. His leadership emphasizes teacher and student-centered strategies that support interconnectedness and a holistic educational journey.

Chance holds an MA in Women’s Studies from the University of Washington, an MA in Historical Sociology and Social Movements from DePaul University, and a BS in Sociology from Willamette University. Residing on Bainbridge Island with his family, he spends his free time perfecting Neapolitan pizza-making, paddle boarding, and biking with his family.
