Corey Olds earned his B.A. in French from Oberlin College in 1991. He also holds an M.A. in History (1995) and in Humanities (2007) from Stanford University. As an award-winning teacher with more than 30 years of experience, Corey is a former university professor of history and humanities, as well as the founder of Excelsus Academics, a series of year-round enrichment courses for K-12 students. Before moving to Seattle in 2017, he wrote six children’s books and consulted with schools nationwide on DEIJ (diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice) policies and programs. Since then, Corey has taught language arts and photography in the Robinson Center’s Saturday Enrichment Program, along with American Literature in the Summer Stretch Program.
