Elliott Lovett

Elliott Lovett (they/he) joined the Robinson Center in January 2022 as the Academic Coach/Adviser after first getting to know the RC as a Summer Stretch instructor in 2019. They earned a BA in International Studies and minor in Literature from American University in Washington, DC and an MA and PhD in English Language and Rhetoric from UW. His PhD dissertation focused on socioeconomic and racial equity in higher education. Elliott’s background is in college writing education as well as teaching neurodivergent and highly capable youth. He taught college writing at UW for five years and worked as an administrator in the UW Expository Writing Program. Elliott has lived in six states and two countries but called Minneapolis their hometown before moving to Seattle in 2016. They enjoy acting in and watching musical theater; playing board and card games; making art; and spending time with their partner, two dogs, and collection of houseplants.
