Gust Burns is a Ph.D. candidate in the University of Washington’s English department. With a background as a pianist and composer working in free jazz, improvisation, and experimental composition, Gust studies literary, cinematic, and artistic production, critiques of political-economy, analyses of anti-blackness, and the production of the human faculties.
