Imani Finkley is a Ph.D. student in Information Science at the University of Washington, where her research centers on understanding how language models will impact literature and communication. She received a B.A. from Cornell University with honors for her thesis that examines generative AI’s impact on the literary tradition and the notion of authorship. Originally from California, in her free time, she likes to practice ballet at the PNB School, watch anime, travel, and learn new languages.
