Jack Flesher (he/they) teaches both philosophy and music at three Seattle public elementary schools. A PhD Candidate in Ethnomusicology at the University of Washington, Seattle, Jack is currently completing his dissertation on children’s philosophical and musical cultures, a project that has involved extensive collaboration and fieldwork with communities of children in Seattle to figure out just what local kids think about music and art. Outside of work and school, Jack enjoys spending time in nature, playing video and board games with friends and family, and making pottery.
