Jay Aquinas Thompson (they/he) is a poet and teaching artist with 11 years of experience teaching creative writing and ELA to youth in public school, after-school programs, and psychiatric care; college students; and incarcerated adults. Jay is a Robinson Center alum (’98) and the author of The Resurrection Appearances (Gold Line). Their poetry and essays have appeared in Neon Door, Guesthouse, Jubilat, Poetry Northwest (where they’re a contributing editor), and many other outlets. They’re the recipient of awards and grants from the Community of Writers, the Sustainable Arts Foundation, and King County 4Culture.
