Michelle Nguyen is a junior at the University of Washington majoring in Laws, Societies, and Justice and Early Childhood and Family Studies with a focus in Teaching and Learning. Michelle has competed in mock trial at both the high school and collegiate levels. In high school, she competed for four years and has won many trophies, including several state titles and numerous district and state performance awards. She is competing for her third year at UW mock trial, where she is currently serving as president. She has taught and coached mock trial at the junior high, high school, and collegiate levels. Currently she coaches Seattle Preparatory School’s mock trial teams, which consists of over forty high school students. Aside from competitive mock trial, Michelle is passionate about trial advocacy and creating an equitable classroom for all students to learn about the law. She is currently working with elementary school directors and teachers to design culturally inclusive classrooms and create anti-bias curriculums.
