Michelle Tobey is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Interdisciplinary Urban Design and Planning program at the University of Washington and a member of the Urban Ecology Research Lab. She obtained both an undergraduate degree in architecture and a master’s degree in planning from the Georgia Institute of Technology before starting her Ph.D. at UW. She has been employed in multiple classes as a teacher’s assistant and instructor of record for both college and K-12 classes over the years. Chelle has a passion for education and strives to pass on her interest in the complex and diverse nature of cities in fun and engaging ways. Inspiring the next generation of planners, at any level or age, is something she looks forward to daily!
