Registration for Summer Stretch and Summer Challenge will close at 5 pm on Friday, June 1st.
We still have space available in some Summer Stretch courses.
If your student is interested in geography or urban planning, check out People, Place, and Space and Planning Cities, Past and Future. Your student can sharpen their critical thinking skills with one of our philosophy courses: Are We There Yet? Philosophy and Critical Thought, and What Should I Do? Exploring Ethical Dilemmas. We also offer a philosophy of science course, Believing in Things We Cannot See: The Problem of Unobserved Entities in Science. Or they can hone their skills in reasoning in Mock Trial. We have recently opened up a second section of this very popular course. Drama, literature, and writing courses are also still available. This year’s Shakespeare course is Unto the Breach! A Henry V Workshop. Investigative Audio Journalism: Podcasting the Intersection of Science and Culture is a hands-on podcasting class. Future researchers can learn how scholars write and communicate their findings in Research and Writing.
Summer Challenge also has a few courses still available.
Both I Think So! Philosophy and Critical Thought Exploration and Inquiring Minds take students into the culture of philosophical inquiry as they learn to ask good questions and critically evaluate arguments. Saying with Sound: Communicating and Expression Through Music is a musical journey that examines the relationship between music and human experience. No training in music is required! (Note that this class has a different schedule than the rest of the Summer Challenge classes.) We also have space in our course about space! To the Moon and Beyond! is a study of the wonders of our solar system and the mysteries of the universe.
Join us on a summer adventure in learning!
