At the Robinson Center Enrichment Program, we believe that highly capable and highly motivated students thrive in learning environments that are engaging, inclusive, and appropriately challenging. Our classrooms are designed using evidence-based instructional practices that support a wide range of learners while encouraging curiosity, creativity, and collaboration.
Every RC Enrichment Saturday course provides:
- Clear routines and expectations
- Accessible, engaging instruction
- Multiple opportunities to participate and demonstrate learning
- Purposeful learning experiences that include movement, choice, and collaboration.
- Positive, asset-based relationships
- A culture of belonging, curiosity, and intellectual risk-taking
Our courses emphasize active learning. Students learn by exploring ideas, asking questions, designing, creating, discussing, and solving problems together. As students grow, the complexity of the work increases while maintaining opportunities for collaboration, creativity, and hands-on learning.

Partnering with Families
The RC Enrichment Saturday course is designed to support diverse learners through inclusive, evidence-based teaching practices. We recognize that some students may also benefit from individualized strategies or supports. We partner with families to understand each student's strengths and needs so that every learner can fully participate, engage, and thrive in our Enrichment Program community.
How to Set Your Student Up for Success
- Preview the day together. Review the schedule and help your child know what to expect.
- Come ready to learn. Arrive on time after eating breakfast, bring a water bottle, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes.
- Embrace the challenge. Encourage your child to ask questions, try new ideas, and view mistakes as part of learning.
- Encourage independence. Help your student practice solving problems, asking questions, and seeking help when needed.
- Celebrate curiosity. Encourage your child to explore new interests, participate fully, and enjoy learning alongside peers who share their enthusiasm.
Requesting Additional Learning Supports
If your child would benefit from additional learning or participation supports beyond those provided in our inclusive classrooms, we encourage you to let us know during registration by completing the Learning Supports Form. You are also welcome to contact the Program Manager of Teaching and Learning before the start of the session if you would like to discuss your child's learning needs.
After we receive your request, the Student Success Team will review the information and send a confirmation email. If additional information or conversation would be helpful, we will contact you to schedule a chat. When appropriate, we will work with you to identify practical strategies that support your child's successful participation in the program. Relevant information is then shared with instructors so they are prepared to support your student while maintaining your family's privacy.
Please contact the Saturday team at rcenrich@uw.edu if you have any questions.
