Students

  • Pay periods at the University of Washington are from 1st-15th and 16th-end of the month. To be paid, make sure to submit hours worked by noon on either the 16th or 1st (one day after the end of each pay period).
  • Access your timesheet by logging on to Workday. You will need your UWNetID, password and DUO setup.
  • Enter the amount of hours worked to the corresponding date. You may include notes for your Supervisor to read. REMEMBER: once notes are added and saved, they become a permanent record on your file.

Note: Remember to still submit timesheets with no hours worked. No need to enter zeros—submit the timesheet blank. Also, please monitor your UW email account in case your timesheet was rejected. All changes are needed by 10AM the next morning in order for the timesheet to be approved on time. All changes after this time will not make payroll cut-off and a paycheck will not be received for that pay period.

Instructors

  • Instructors have already been given access to their TA/SA’s paper timesheets. By the end of the day on either the 16th or the 1st (one day after the end of each pay period), make sure to review and sign off on the TA/SA's submitted hours.
  • If there are any discrepancy, immediately contact the TA/SA. Let the Program Head know to not yet approve in Workday.
  • Program Head will make all Workday approvals according to signed paper timesheets.
