Your body is sending messages right now. Secret messages. Coded signals that travel from your brain to your toes and back again faster than you can blink. Your heart is tapping out a rhythm. Your lungs are filling and emptying. You don't think about any of it. It just happens. How? That's the code. In The Body Code, students embark on a mission to crack the hidden messages that keep their bodies alive and moving.
Each week, students intercept a new part of the Body Code. They build a giant nerve line and pass messages down it. They measure their heartbeats before and after movement. They test their senses with tricks and illusions. They build clay brains and trace the path of messages from body to brain and back. Every discovery goes into their Mission Log, a working reference they build week by week. On the final day, families are invited to a Body Code Briefing where students will present their findings and share the most important code they cracked about how their brain and body talk to each other.
