Grab your magnifying glass—it's time to become a Junior Entomologist! In this hands-on science adventure, students will discover the amazing world of insects and other tiny creatures that help our planet thrive. From busy bees and beautiful butterflies to hardworking ants and dazzling dragonflies, we'll investigate how these small animals pollinate plants, recycle nutrients, and support healthy ecosystems.
Each week, students will think like scientists by observing real specimens and photographs, asking questions, recording discoveries in their Field Notebooks, creating bug-inspired art, playing interactive games, and building models. Along the way, they'll develop curiosity, scientific observation skills, and a greater appreciation for the incredible diversity of the natural world. Our final class will feature a Junior Entomology Expo where students share their favorite discoveries and showcase their projects.
